FAQ : Bright colours
What should I do before my appointment ?
Firstly we highly recommend treating your hair with K18 to ensure the best hair health possible. It’s best not to wash your hair 2-3 days before your appointment to protect your scalp a little, and on the day your hair should also be dry and preferably free of knots.
Also, bring photos! A picture is worth a thousand words, and visual references help us communicate clearly.
Please advise us if you think your hair will take longer than the allotted time:
If you have tangled, thick hair; extra long hair; or If you know your hair lifts faster or slower please let us know.
What should I expect if I have very dark hair ?
Darker hair needs to be lightened before bright colour is applied. Sometimes this means you may need to adjust expectations on the first visit as we will never excessively bleach your hair to the point of damage. It’s a journey!
Can I maintain my colour at home?
Yes! - by using products like K18, Olaplex, gentle colour-safe shampoos, and heat protectant.
We can also mix custom coloured conditioners so you can refresh your bright tones at home.
Use a dry shampoo, wash your hair in cooler water and less frequently
Apply leave-in products before swimming or sun exposure.
How often do I need to come back to maintain colour ?
Ideally, every 6-8 weeks for on-scalp lightener.
Colour refresh services such as a creative toner service, in-salon can top up your bright tones in between full colour appointments.
